What is your approach to integration?

Great question - we're stepping our way into this, solving integrations as we come across them. More detail in the detailed answer (unsurprisingly).

We want to have a library of specific integrations for the most commonly used systems that store our "6 golden sources of context":

  • HR (Charlie, Bamboo, Workday, etc.)
  • CRM (Hubspot, ActiveCampaign, Zoho, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Finance (Xero, QB, Sage, Zoho, etc.)
  • Office automation (MS,Google)

In addition we see future value in integration with work management systems (e.g. Atlassian, Monday, Clickup). This will be a whole workstream forever, but we have a set of generic interfaces that can do the basics via file uploads for small businesses (i.e. for the next while), and we will solve specific integrations as we hit them.
