How much of your solution is just LLM wrappers vs intrinsic value?

We are a fully-functioning vertical AI platform - not a crappy interface over the top of ChatGPT 5.

There are many variations on this question:

  • How quickly will OpenAI or Google do what you do?
  • What's to stop someone else just doing what you do?
  • What's special about Folio?

The answer to all of these is the same:

  1. Folio is a deeply capable platform - not a chatbot interface. Folio has:
    • A full fintech back-end
    • A unified datastore, serving business context from a single source
    • A workflow engine, managing tasks, reminders, and complex workflows natively
    • A rules and policy engine, combining deterministic and probabilistic approaches to automate tasks as well as a human using a system
    • A unified multi-channel chat capability, meaning you can interact with Folio like you would with any colleague, and without loss of memory across channels
    • Much, much more.
  2. We use LLMs for specific purposes:
    • Interpretation - reading and analysing text, data, images, and more to make sense of heterogenous data sources and map them into vectors that can be used to automate work.
    • Communication - enabling a conversation-first design, and allowing us to re-imagine how software can be used.
    • Generation - providing a layer of content creation capability that delivers the 'last mile' in many prof services use cases.
  3. We are a platform, not a tool:
    • We use many different LLMs - choosing the most suitable for each task (see the diagram below).
    • We can plug into other agentic solutions to extend Folio's capabilities

Folio also has access to context that generalist LLMs will not - we are a vertical AI solution:
