Types of competitor
We consider competition across 3 main categories.
- Traditional PSA and admin management providers
- CMap, Scoro, Kantata
- Other corporate admin management software like Ramp, Brex
- Agentic orchestration / automation platforms
- n8n, Relevance, Lindy
- And the big AI infrastructure providers like Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, Anthropic
- Focused, agentic startups (many niche solutions). Two interesting ones are:
- https://layerx.co.jp/ - very different geography, cross-sector focus, but is building deep agentic workflows
- https://www.kenley.ai/ - strong focus on consulting, use cases so far linked to document development
Overview of the competition
The diagram below shows a logo splash of the companies that we are tracking (across the three categories above). We have a high-level strategy for how we work with each of these - and many will be useful. We see Folio being the agentic operating system for Professional Services firms, utilising niche solutions where appropriate. The most direct competition we have are the traditional PSA solutions, but we need to roll out a few more capabilities before we can propose to replace their full functionality.
